Brother MFC 9560CDW drum unit reset instructions

When the replace drum message appears the instructions below will allow you to reset the drum counter back to zero

  • Printer is turned on and ready to print.
  • Open the front cover of the printer.
  • Remove the drum unit (with the toner cartridge installed) from the printer.
  • Re-install the drum unit and installed toner cartridge
  • Press Clear.
  • To confirm you are installing a new drum, press 1.
  • When the LCD shows Accepted, close the front cover of the machine.

    For touchscreen printers

  • Press Stop/Exit to interrupt the error temporarily.
  • Press Menu.
  • Press the Up or Down arrow key to display Machine Info.. Press Machine Info..
  • Press Reset Menu.
  • Press Drum.
  • The machine will display Reset Drum?
  • Press Yes, and then press Stop/Exit.

    Will I ever have to buy a drum?

    The answer to this question is YES. Our reset information above will allow you to extend the life of your drum unit considerably, but you will need to replace the drum unit when it can no longer produce a quality printed page.
