I have used this HP64XL cartridge before and still utilize it for printing. It may be a bit more expensive than the standard cartridge, but I don't have to worry about running out of ink when documents I need are very lengthy. The color black ranges in degrees, but there is no smearing and blacks are distinguishable. This cartridge is worth it if you print a lot.
